Noudar has grown from a homegrown concept into an internationally recognised luxury house. What was the defining moment when you felt the brand had truly “arrived” on the global stage?

That is actually a very difficult question to answer. Everytime my jewelry would be worn at an event like the Golden Globes or the Met Gala, the fashion event of the year and I would get so excited and say "yes-we've made it!" then it would be worn at the super bowl for example and that is a completely different stage Christina Aguilera wore my Henna Choker for the Just Eat campaign in October 2023 What was important for me was being a young Arab designer when I started, especially from the GCC and being on all these different stages I didn't just feel like I was representing my brand, I felt like I was representing all other designers from my region, wether it was fashion, jewelry and it was important for them to know "we are all here together".

Your designs blend modern aesthetics with deep cultural inspiration. How do you balance innovation with heritage in your creative process?

A lot of my designs including the best selling henna collection is based on modernising henna patterns and combining them with islamic geometric patterns. When I was a young girl I loved doing my own henna and often did it for my friends in school so I was used to creating those patterns. As part of our heritage we have a rich history of architectural design that use more linear geometric patterns. When you combine the two it creates a pattern that looks bold and tribal yet feminine at the same time.

Many global celebrities—from Rihanna to Beyoncé—have worn Noudar pieces. How this visibility shaped the brand’s evolution and your approach to design?

Rihanna's association with the brand has been very organic, her hands are covered with tattoos that are a mix of henna patterns and maori, so I love seeing her in our rings she wore them for her last two campaigns — Fenty Skin (skincare) and Fenty Beauty (makeup) — and she even wears them out and about as well. Having people like Rihanna and Beyonce wear my jewels definitely encourages me to push the boundaries with more statement pieces, The way they style their jewelry is quite fun and unique to their style, but you need eye catching pieces to do that. With Noudar I try to make sure each piece is not a classic or a basic piece, it stands out, even if it's just one nail ring.

As a new-generation entrepreneur in a family with a strong legacy in luxury and jewellery, how has your upbringing influenced your leadership style and vision for Noudar?

I grew up like many little girls fascinated by jewels, and would tag along to meetings with my father since I was 6 years old. I find my voice quite easily, got involved and started drawing ideas, the first of which I had made by one of our suppliers when I was 13. It was a gold skull necklace which I still wear today. watching my Grandfather and father expand the business the way they have has given me a similar drive. We are continuing to expand Noudar but in a logical way that makes sense to the brand and it's customers while still being able to keep up with orders. I'm also working on several projects to complement the brand and really solidify it as a "Luxury House". Watch this space!

Building an internationally competitive brand from the region comes with unique challenges. What were some of the most pivotal obstacles you faced, and how did you overcome them?

The biggest challenge I faced actually was being a new brand without much history, without a pressbook and competing against some of the biggest jewelry houses. I would say the way to overcome that is to create 1- something that looks unlike any of the big jewelry houses, so you aren't competing against them, you have your own brand identity 2- Creating statement pieces is not only a cost effective way of marketing, but the best way as they photograph well and from a distance, whether its on a red carpet, at a celebrity party or in a music video. Taylor Swift for example, wore a Noudar black diamond long finger rings in her "look what you made me do" in 2017 and a Black diamond handpiece in her "I don't want to live forever" music video that same year.

The pieces looked amazing on her while she was dancing and were eye-catching. We got a lot of calls about them.

Noudar will be presenting a new collection at DJWE in Doha in April 2026. What themes or inspirations can you share about this upcoming showcase?

This year's theme, still complimenting our core lines is " Nature in Arabia" there is inspiration from animals you would find that are specific to the desert and flowers that my mother would grow in the garden, and would be present in most gardens in our regions.

Creativity is at the heart of luxury. How do you stay inspired, and what fuels your artistic direction in an increasingly fast-paced global market?

My best designs are always done whilst I'm by the sea. So at home in Qatar or anywhere in the world that's sea side. I think the calming energy of the sea and looking beyond the sea to a vast horizon similarly opens my mind. I also make sure not to have any pictures of other jewelry or jewelry magazines nearby so my mind really is a blank canvas, Then I start "doodling" on paper, creating patterns along different forms and the pieces are then "cut out" from that process, creating rings, bracelets, necklaces, but it all starts with the patterns.

As a female founder in the luxury sector, what does women’s leadership mean to you today, and how do you see it shaping the future of the industry?

Women are increasingly taking up leadership roles in what used to be a male dominated industry. This makes me increasingly proud and honoured to be amongst them. For them, reaching their leadership roles isn't easy at all. I was lucky enough to watch a family friend Caroline scheufele in her role as co president of Chopard and artistic director, making it seem effortless. There are always challenges iand I'm sure if Caroline experienced any she did not show it. I see more women like her, with a calm energy and able to tackle anything they encounter. I see female leaders like Nicole Weiss at Tiffany, taking the brand to new heights. Women are bold and creative, most imortantly they know what other women want so their only test is in their leadershi skills.

Sustainability and conscious luxury are becoming more important to consumers. How is Noudar integrating these values into its craftsmanship and brand philosophy? 10. Looking ahead, what is your long-term vision for Noudar, and what new frontiers do you hope to explore as both a designer and entrepreneur?

My long term vision is to continue to grow the brand and enter other markets in a way that makes sense for the brand. As we continue to grow we might look into having stand alone boutiques.
