H. Moser Funky Blue watch goes musical

16 Oct, 2017

H.Moser Funky Blue watch  the boldest fumé dial colour from the Swiss brand, now features on a bass guitar gifted to U2 bassist, Adam Clayton. The story begins with a meeting between Laurent Picciotto, founder of Chronopassion, Edouard Meylan, CEO of H. Moser & Cie. and the team at Wild Customs, a guitar workshop run by enthusiasts whose slight craziness belies their supreme talent. United by a shared passion for music and fine watchmaking, they came up with the idea of creating a bespoke musical instrument as a gift for Adam Clayton. Fusing two worlds, this electric bass links rock culture with the mechanical watch tradition – two of Adam Clayton's passions.
A founder member of U2 who writes about contemporary art for British GQ, Adam Clayton combines musical virtuosity with a refined rock elegance. A devotee of fine watchmaking, he is a friend of H. Moser & Cie., whose fumé dials are a particular pleasure of his. He owns several of the Manufacture's pieces, including the most breathtaking and wearable model: the Pioneer Centre Seconds Automatic. This steel watch, with its water resistance to 120 metres, three-day power reserve and uncompromising elegance, is ideal for any occasion.
