The Chopard Swiss revealed the Fairmined gold statuette designed specifically for The Green Carpet Fashion Awards, Italia, and to celebrate The Journey to Sustainable Luxury – Chopard’s long term commitment to ethical and sustainable business.
The award features the highly symbolic pomegranate, and is crafted from responsibly-sourced gold certified Fairmined*, extracted by artisanal and small-scale miners as part of Chopard’s Journey to Sustainable Luxury.
Chiara Vigo will receive the Green Carpet Fashion Awards Artisanal Laureate 2017 at La Scala event in Milan on September 24th. She is thought to be the last of her generation to make the incredible sea silk, known as Bisso. A true symbol of Made In Italy, she is thought to be the only person left to harvest the precious sea silk, spin it and make it shine like gold.
