| Geneva Time Exhibition to debut in January 2010 |

35 independent brands and master watchmakers are teaming up to conduct the first ever Geneva Time Exhibition (GTE) from 17 to 22 January 2010. The 1,000 sq. m. GTE, to be held at the International Geneva Conference Centre (CICG) in the heart of cosmopolitan Geneva, will provide a unique opportunity for all watch industry professionals to discover the exceptional creativity of the new watchmaking generation. The 35 independent brands taking part in GTE reflect the incredible diversity of this vibrant industry. Some watchmakers have chosen GTE to officially launch their brand on the market and present their very first timepieces to a specialist audience. Among the brands exhibiting are Alain Silberstein, Antoine Preziuso, Aquanautic, Clerc, Linde Werdelin, Louis Moinet, Marvin Watch, Quinting, Saint Honore and Volna to mention only a few. |

| Premier Awards 2009 presented amid much fanfare at sparkling reception |
Once again, for the fifth consecutive year, Arabian Watches & Jewellery (AWJ) Magazine hosted the Premier Middle East Watches, Jewellery & Pens Awards, presented alongside Jewellery Arabia 2009. The Presentation Ceremony, for what is dubbed the Industry Oscars, was accompanied by a grand dinner reception at the Al Ghazal Ballroom at The Ritz Carlton, the most prestigious hotel in the Kingdom of Bahrain on Tuesday, 17 November, the inaugural night of Jewellery Arabia 2009. It was attended by a distinguished cross section of over 300 invitationonly and standing room guests.
The blacktie gala dinner ceremony was held under the patronage of HE Dr. Hassan Abdullah Fakhro, the Minister of Industry & Commerce, Kingdom of Bahrain.
Lebanese singing star Tania Assaf and her threeman ensemble regaled the assembly with a rendition of pop hits in English, Arabic, French and even Spanish, that left the audience tapping their feet and clamouring for more.

| Publisher presents the first copy of Jewels of Arabia to HRH The Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain |

Jewellery Arabia 2009 was also chosen as the launch venue for the first edition of the popular and fastselling Jewels of Arabia 20092010 by J2 Holdings, publishers of the fastestgrowing industry title Arabian Watches & Jewellery (AWJ) Magazine. This 450page, firstofitskind coffee table book is devoted to the finest and most exclusive brands in the world of haute jewellery and is prefaced by a foreword from Her Excellency Sheikha Lubna Bint Khalid Al Qassimi, UAE Minister of Foreign Trade. Jewels of Arabia provides historical perspectives on Dilmun, Ottoman, Phoenician, Persian, Indian, Arab and Bedouin jewellery and their influences on locally and regionally produced jewellery, topical features, detailed corporate and related industryspecific reports on jewels, gems and jewellery and their development and evolution in the Arab world. | Indian trade boost at Jewellery Arabia 2009 |
The Mumbai headquartered Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) of India coordinated a contingent of over 60 top Indian jewellers at the recently concluded Jewellery Arabia 2009 exhibition. The official Indian pavilion was spread across a total area of 772 sq. m. at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre. According to Vasant Mehta, Chairman, GJEPC, Jewellery Arabia is an important platform for increased bilateral trade and the region accounts for 32.3 % (USD $ 6.9 billion) of the countrys total gem and jewellery exports totally worth USD $ 21 billion. |

| New Cartier appointment announced |

Cartier Middle East has appointed Louis Ferla as its new Managing Director of Cartier Middle East & India, taking over from his predecessor Patrick Normand. The appointment took effect from 1 November 2009. Ferla was previously Managing Director of Cartier Taiwan and has been working for almost 15 years in the Greater China Region (China, Hong Kong & Taiwan), including 10 years with the Richemont Group. Cartier currently has 14 boutiques in the GCC, Lebanon and India. More new boutique openings are planned for 2010. |

| Tiffany & Co. boosts profits in Q32009 |
Tiffany & Co., the worlds secondlargest luxury jewellery retailer, reported thirdquarter profit that topped analysts estimates as revenues grew in Asia and Europe. Net income fell 1 % to USD $ 43.3 million from USD $ 43.8 million a year earlier, the company said for the three months ending 31 October 2009. Total revenue declined 2.9 % to USD $ 598.2 million during this period. |

Bulgari recently opened a new twin store at The Dubai Mall. The two spaces have separate entrances but share a common façade 17 metres long featuring large exterior windows. Jaeger LeCoultre has announced the setting up LeClub Middle East, the first watch collectors and brand aficionados in the region. Recently, members of the club were taken on an exclusive journey through the annals of time at the clubs first gathering at the brand boutique in The Dubai Mall. Members were given rare access and treated to rare sights, allowing them to touch and feel vintage and exceptionally modern watches, such as the 1931 Reverso, usually hidden from the public eye in private collections or displayed in enclosed glass cases.
